About Stroud Furniture Makers
Our family business was started in the early 1980s by owner and director Nick Croome. Brought up in the Stroud Valleys, Nick later studied resistant materials at Brunel College, Bristol, before specialising in fine furniture design and cabinetmaking.
He currently runs Stroud Furniture Makers with his wife Sarah and a long-term team of highly skilled permanent staff. Nick gained valuable woodworking experience during his travels to North and South America, especially while living and working in Vermont’s Prickly Mountain creative community.
Our aim has always been to provide excellence while keeping traditional skills alive, to preserve the natural world through sustainable practices, and to respect and reward the people who work with us

Setting the Standard in Bespoke Furniture Making
We provide homeowners in the Cotswolds and beyond with the best services not only in cabinetry and furniture design, but also in appliance installation and full project management. All our products are designed to custom standards and handcrafted in our workshops using sustainable methods and FSC-certificated raw materials.
